Al Ahli Tripoli beat Petro de Luanda 88-67, at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa, to win the 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL) title

Africa has undoubtedly incorporated Basketball, making it one of the most sought-after games after football. The sport has seen an influx of African talents drafted into the NBA, like Cameroonian player Joel Embiid, who joined the Philadelphia 76ers in 2014. The seven-foot Embiid is a seven-time member of the All-NBA team, a two-time NBA scoring champion and a three-time all-defensive player. He was named NBA Most Valuable Player in 2023.

Al Ahli Tripoli defeated Petro de Luanda 88-67 on Saturday, June 14, to win the 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL) title. The Northerners became the first Libyan team to win the title.
On Sunday, June 15, BAL 2025 Sahara Conference champions, US Monastir of Tunisia, celebrated their big. APR of Rewanda clinched third place in the BAL season after beating Al Ittihad Alexandria 123-90 on Friday, June 13, 2025.
