ROC Nation expands its African footprint
Roc Nation expands its presence across Africa, focusing on a diverse range of ventures from signing promising football stars and musicians to launching philanthropic initiatives and forging strategic business partnerships.

The entertainment company, founded in 2008 as the successor to Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records, is making significant moves to tap into Africa's emerging talent pool.
Its recent signing of rising African football stars—including Neo Bohloko (South Africa), Joseph Narbi (Ghana), Mamadou Diallo (Guinea), and Francis Gomez (Gambia)—marks a bold step in that direction.
Nathan Campbell, head of Roc Nation Sports International, stated, "We believe Africa is a hotbed of untapped footballing potential, and our expansion here is a natural progression of our global vision.”
Roc Nation has not only shown interest in football talent but has also invested in the enrichment of young African artists. In May, the entertainment giant announced the signing of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, a deal that positioned her for global exposure.
While rumours circulate about more potential signees, Ayra Starr is currently the only publicly confirmed Roc Nation artist from Africa this year.
In addition, Roc Nation launched the Blonka Movement 4:44 Financial Literacy Tour in Zimbabwe in May 2025. This initiative was designed to equip underserved students with essential financial skills and tools for building generational wealth.
